AWESOME!! AWESOME!! AWESOME!!
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: Ow, I Need To Pop My Back!

Afternoon!!!!

Sorry this is so late; it’s been a crazy morning! I took Flyboy to Sick Call this morning to get taken off of DNIF and was stuck in the car until 830. (Doing flash cards of course) haha. He is doing better and I think that I will have him schedule an actual appointment with the Flight Doc to see if he can get put on some allergy medication. He has been doing GREAT with the stuff he’s on, but the kicker is, as long as he is on it, he can’t fly. So I am hoping that the Doc can put him on something that would help him breathe, but yet still allow him to fly. We’ll see.

I dropped him off and headed home then decided I wanted to make chicken noodle soup tonight. So I headed to Wal-Mart to pick up some veggies and as I was checking out the cashier and I got to talking, like for over and hour or so, and her husband is joining the military and is heading for MEPS next week. She and I both have the same type of “girl” issues but her doctors are saying she may have something else. So pretty much I made a new friend!!!!! Yay me. We switched numbers and I have been answering her questions and we might hang out in the near future. She was really freaking out because when he goes in they will be taking a big pay cut and they just bought their first house, and being a man he totally forgot to ask about it when he was talking to the recruiter. I didn’t have much of an answer at the store but I came home and did some research for her, since she was still at work, and eased her mind a bit. =) The awesome thing is, she just graduated high school in 2008 and she has her head on her shoulders! There aren’t too many like that out here. Plus her and her hubby are a team like Flyboy and I are, not too many marriages like that out their either. =) Not to brag or anything. hehe

I am sorry this is so brief, but it is noon-thirty already and I am SO behind on coloring it’s not funny, plus my shoulders/neck/upper back is killing me.

Tomorrow will be an early day; it is the day before Flyboy’s final CDC test!!!! The whole day will be nothing but studying, so I will make point to post early. Then Thursday will be a later post because he will be taking his test and I will be stuck waiting in the car. I have a feeling this will be a longer test because there is a lot of math involved. It is the kind of math where he has to convert binary into hexadecimal and octal and multiply them and a bunch of other weird stuff. Friday he has Water Survival, poor thing, and I have no clue how release time will be with that. Fun. =)

Anywho, I REALLY need to color. Blah. I have emails to respond to and I will do that asap, promise! Hope you all are doing well. Take care!!!

P.S. (I made a friend!!!!)

Stressed
Mood:  accident prone
Now Playing: Yay, Flash Cards Are Almost Done!!!

Good morning…

I hope everyone is doing well. =) There isn’t too much going on here, though we do have a storm rolling in and a nasty dry line that will most likely cause trouble tonight.

I’m getting a bit stressed over here. We have got the Cali trip coming up and the chance that we may have to put it off to July because of “Training” but now I have no idea what is in store. Saturday night my knee started killing me, the same knee that I injured and needed stitches for, I mean severe pain. It has been doing this off and on since I injured it but each time it decides to hurt it has been getting progressively worse, pain wise. So I decided to feel around where it hurt, you know, maybe I could rub out the pain, well I was wrong and I found what feels like a bone chip, that I can move around in there. It really freaked me out so I had Flyboy feel it and he isn’t too happy about it. Neither his knees nor my other knee has this “moveable piece”, nor is it a good sign that the more I am touching it (making sure its not a figment of my imagination) the more it hurts to the point I almost passed out. Yeaaaah, I found the source, now I just need a medical professional to check it out. I wouldn’t be as stressed if it wasn’t for the fact that I don’t know how much is going to have to come out of our pockets if I need surgery. I don’t know if they need the lump sum all at once or if they will be alright with payments. You’re thinking, but you have insurance through Flyboy, I know, but I have no idea if they will cover me because this came from a work injury in 2007. I don’t want to and I won’t go after my previous employer for this because I really don’t think it is fair, and it’s not. So yeah, a little stressed here. My wisdom teeth on the bottom are coming in and will be a problem, the top ones, eh, it’s debatable, and so that is on my plate too. We have dental, and oh my goodness if that isn’t a confusing mess. They sent is a booklet to inform us about procedures and what I am covered for and how many times a year and what standards I have to meet mouth wise before I can do this or that. Aaahh. Honestly I think we would be better off without it because I really think the out of pocket costs are cheaper with out it. My word… So yeeaah…  Being broken isn’t so much fun. I really hope it won’t push into the Cali trip. The whole point for us to come out in June is because it is before Flyboy gets told he can’t leave the local area and plus Soldier will be coming out and family reunions are fun. July is our last chance this year because August until, I want to say April, Flyboy won’t be able to get leave. (I will explain more, closer to that time or if we are lucky and can come out in June, I will explain it then) But yeah, just a little stressed, I don’t want my broken-ness to cut into all the work we have done building up for this trip. I won’t know anything for sure until my doctor’s appointment on the 3rd of April.

On a lighter note, I heard form Soldier yesterday, and the day before, literally. He called!!!! It was pretty cool. I haven’t heard from him in a while, although the first connection was pretty bad and I could barely understand most of what he was saying. The second call however was pretty dog on clear; I think it was because he was at his duty post and not in the barrack tent. He is doing alright, getting annoyed with the sandstorms, they had three yesterday. He says that the food over there, chow hall, is alright but it is nothing but fatty, unhealthy food; which is slightly ironic because the keep getting lectured on how they need to eat healthy and count their calories and blah, blah, blah, and yet all they serve at the chow hall is unhealthy food. He was telling me that they have a cooler over there full of ice cream treats and by the time he can get over there (his duty shifts are horrible) all that is left are the mango ice cream with caramel filling. The yummy chocolate or vanilla ones are gone. Haha, poor thing. His second call was regarding his cell phone and trying to get pictures off of it and what not. I had no answer for him because, well, his state side phone won’t work overseas, so I suggested getting a disposable camera, right? He started laughing and told me that was pointless because they don’t have a 35mm film developing station there, all they have is a Kodak stand, like at Wal-Mart, but yet they still sell disposable cameras. That is AAFES for ya…

I don’t know what all we talked about it went form anything to everything. We did talk about my knee though and he wanted me to know that he would rather I stay out here and be healthy than come out there and have the chance of an emergency room visit. We talked a long while about it and between him and Flyboy it has been pretty much decided that I have to get fixed first. I mean I knew that, but I was trying to put it off In the back of my head, and I didn’t want to admit it. But I do feel better that I was able to talk about it with him, Soldier, (I already knew how Flyboy stood) and him saying what he did. It just bums me out. Like I said though, I won’t know for sure of anything until my doctor’s appointment. The waiting game is not fun at all. Soldier said that he would feel bad if I came out there instead of getting fixed first, and really I can’t send him back over there with that kind of mind set. =S

He is really excited about coming back to the states; the drivers over there are crazy. He was saying that the drive ALL over the road, like on the sidewalks and on the wrong sides of the road. He is mainly stuck on base, so I am assuming that on one of his missions he had to convoy off of base or something. And I though the drivers here were bad… I asked him if they drive on the opposite side of the road like they do in England or if they drive normal (aren’t I arrogant) like they do in America, he said it is like stateside.

Oh... wow... I just made farting sounds with my hands… I am sure you really don’t care but it really threw me off. When I am thinking I tend to fiddle with my hands and it’s cold so I stared rubbing my hands together to warm them, but I put my palms together so my fingers were on opposite sides and warmed them that way. Like I said, I fidget when I think. Well I guess there is just enough space between my palms and when I rubbed my hands back and forth it made, sounds. Haha. I have rubbed my hands this way before and never heard a noise, that is why it really threw me off. Sorry… Though you have to admit, it is sort of funny, in a random sort of way.

Tonight I am making lasagna; Flyboy really wants me to make some. I have been putting it off because I didn’t feel up to cleaning the Crockpot. (It was being used to soak some silverware at the time) Saturday morning, I guess, Flyboy decided to surprise me with an empty kitchen sink =) It was nice to wake up to, so I made him breakfast. =) haha. But it really was sweet though.

Wow, I must be writing in slow motion, because I haven’t written very much and yet I have been on the computer for just over and hour. I guess my subconscious doesn’t want to finish the flash cards. Haha. I ended up turning the last 10 flash cards into a mini comic. (The answers just seemed to work out that way) It kind of started with a joke about the answer “Packets”. When I first read the answer I thought it said “pockets” which made no sense… and the comic was born. (In reality it has something to do with modern computers) On the guy’s flight suits, on their left arm they have this really cool pen pocket. It has a Velcro close, and when you open it you can put like 2 pens in it. It also has a side zipper that works awesome for keeping your cell phone in right underneath the pens, or a little note book. Anywho, It started off with this guy wanting a 2nd pen pocket ( I don’t recall what the answer was) and then it just turned into this story about this new airman who got is pen pocket stolen (or so he thought) and started freaking out because they had a uniform inspection in 5 minutes. The rest of the older airmen tell him to calm down, but he is new so he is freaking out. He calls up Life Support (what Cousin Rich did) and he explains the situation and they hang up on him. So the poor guy is so freaked out that he gets sick to his stomach, they guys give him Pepto and he gets this genius idea to draw his pocket on his uniform with a sharpie. However he missed the inspection, but the captain who notices that he is missing. Then the next thing the newbie knows, (his name is Airman Peters by the way) he is strapped to this chair with a metal spaghetti strainer strapped to his head hooked up to electricity (I can’t draw that well) and there is this nurse with a needle telling him that the military doesn’t tolerate the drawing of pen pockets on uniforms with sharpies. Then his wingman, the one who told him to calm down, comes in with an alien skewered on a spear stating he found the infiltrator and that Peters is innocent. And it ends with the life lesson of “Trust your Wingman”. It really is quite dumb, but it made Flyboy laugh and I know the guys in the flight will, plus he remembers the answers to them all, and it only took one read through!!!!! I think I have a gift… lol. Honestly I had no idea it was going to go that far. The answers after the first joke about pockets just seemed to make it unravel into a weird story. It was kind of fun really, but now I have to color them all. =P I am almost done though!!!! Hehe

Well I better head off for now. Like I said I need to color. Hope you all are doing great! Take care!

Is It Bedtime Yet??
Mood:  special
Now Playing: For He's A Jolly Good Fellow, For He's A Jolly Good Fellow, For He's A Jolly Good Fellllow, That Likes To Eat Pumpkin Pie

Morning!

Well, not much to talk about today. I finished the first set of flash cards and am halfway through the second set, just need to color them. I did half the dishes yesterday, my hands started to get irritated and dry form the soap so I decided to call it a day. I picked up Flyboy really late in the evening from work then we grabbed a tuna sandwich from Subway. We came home, caught the new episode of Bones and that was about it. Oh! We also caught the tail end of Lethal Weapon, the first one. (Now I see why there are a lot of women who have crushes on Mel Gibson. =)  Haha!)

It is still stormy out and they only call for a 20% chance of rain, which means it is going to pour. Out here everything is backwards, so if the weather guy says there is a chance of precipitation 40% or below, it will pour. If he says that we have a higher percent than 40% with the exception of 90-100% it won’t rain at all. Very weird, I say.

Flyboy is doing a little better, although the medicine is messing his system up, poor thing. Yeah, also because NO ONE told us they were sick as well as everyone else, this upcoming flight he was scheduled to be on, well they took him off because he would still be DNIF when it came time to fly. Yeeeaaah, so he gets NO fly time this month because these people care more about this silly game than they do about the health and welfare of their friends. (They are obsessed about this game, I am not kidding you. It is to the point where I think they actually believe the pretend world, really does exist. Sort of freaks me out. I mean its one thing if you dream about it but it is another to act like… okay, I should stop. I apologize, I am just really frustrated. I feel like they got my hubby sick on purpose because we like never go over there anymore. That seems like a large accusation to you but can assure you that it is not, that is precisely the type of people they are. I don’t like “mask” wearers and I wish I would have figured them out a few years ago. =/ )

Anywho, on a lighter note, I have less flash cards to do. Oh! Today Flyboy is practicing for the up coming Change of Command. I think I may have told you, but the Squadron Commander is being sent to a different base and oddly they new guy we are getting used to be an ex-fighter pilot, so this should be interesting. We are also loosing a bunch of guys from the flight, they too are being sent elsewhere. Oh, and don’t get me started on the two guys who got their dreams crushed. One of them is a top tech in the flight and the other is new, like new, new and they both got told they couldn’t fly. The first guy, he is Our Asian, (I say it that way because one he is and two he tells everyone that he is The Asian and he enjoys living up to his stereotype, and is proud of it. He flaunts it around too, really funny) Anyway, he has been diagnosed with a heart murmur and is never allowed to fly again. He is really bummed about that as is everyone else. The new guy had been trying SOOOOO hard to get switched over to become a P.J. (Parachute Jumper) because he really wanted to be out there saving lives. He didn’t want to be behind the scenes doing it; he wanted to be actually responsible for saving lives. (He is the A1C  in charge of A2D2) well, he got his test results back from his physical, to see if he was qualified to cross over, and they found out that he has hyperglycemia. They will never let him fly. So yeah, poor kid, just crushed. I mean, why can’t the guys who hate their job here get stuck with these conditions instead of the guys who want to make a difference and kick serious butt at their jobs? It is so, so cruel, you know? I know The Asian will be fine, he left a 7 figure income to join the Air Force (we all think he was crazy for that, in a teasing way) but I am a bit worried about the new guy. We can’t lose him, he loves my wings!!!! (Yay! For a totally self-centered and completely insensitive moment!) But yeah, so anyway…

That is about it over here. I should probably start getting my flash cards together and put some food I the crock pot (its chicken noodle soup from scratch night) and I would like to make it to the desk before Little House on the Prairie comes o, I love that show. I am going to search for the books; I think they would be very fun to read. =)

But, I better go for now. Take care! Have a Great weekend!!!!!!!

Hello!
Mood:  hug me
Now Playing: The Sounds Of The Local Train

Good morning!

I apologize for not writing yesterday. I wasn’t feeling too well after waiting in the car for 3 hours for Flyboy to get finished with sick call. After sick call I mailed off Soldiers taxes (a long story for another time) had a sandwich from Subway and came home and crashed. I don’t even know if I ate dinner or not. Haha

Well Flyboy is on 7 day DNIF, although he can come back to flying status before then, which of course requires another sick call visit to get approved. The diagnosed him with a cold but prescribed him allergy medication, Allegra and Musionex, oh and they also sent him off with a slight fever, though they don’t seem to think that 99.9 isn’t a fever.

Hmm… other than that there isn’t much going on. He is feeling a lot better today though. =) I am VERY upset with Mr. 2yr Old’s family for not telling us they were sick or that everyone who was coming over would be sick. I find it a tad on the rude side. I mean it is one thing if we were babysitting sick kids for them, but we weren’t, the adults were sick, kids were too, but you know? Flyboy has missed out on his scheduled flight today because of it. I told you he missed the one in the beginning of the month due to scheduling issues, which is completely out of his control (it was the ‘higher-ups” fault) and he needs two flights to stay Current and well, he just missed this flight because he is sick and now stamped with DNIF. Thoughtlessness is a pain! I mean I know they are getting PCS’ed in May (the dad has decided to become and officer, because it is a requirement in the church they are members of. Everyone who is in the military that attends has to be an officer or they can’t “participate” in the leadership positions of their church. The Enlisted are looked down upon. I have BIG issues with that reason as to why he is crossing over. But it’s not my place to voice an opinion in that matter) Anywho, but still, courtesy, you know? It just aggravates me, oh and don’t get me started with the kids… I know I don’t have any, so I don’t really have the right to voice my opinion, but I sure as heck have a really BIG one.

I think I want to change the topic before I get to frustrated and skip out on doing the dishes. It snowed last week, was in the high 70’s last weekend and today we have thunderstorms until this Sunday. Fun, fun, I just hope we have enough of a cold front that tornadoes won’t pop up. I can handle the cold, but hot, sticky thunderstorms, make me too nervous. Though I will day now that we have a bottom apartment, I am not as worried, but that really isn’t the point.

I took Flyboy to work today, he may be on 7 day DNIF but they didn’t put him on quarters, so he has to go to work. He was feeling a lot better this morning, but he also slept most of the day and all of the night. (Why am I getting a headache? I just ate? Grrrr) I am glad he is feeling better though. He is having a salmon steak (they were actually on sale and looked half decent at the store when I went shopping last week) some asparagus and I think some strawberries. He also packed one of the granola bars I made and I insisted he take some apple juice too. (I am all out of orange now… =T) I think I may just have a tuna sandwich, those have been sounding really good lately, yet so does spaghetti o’s. I am not a big fan of spaghetti o’s, so that is a bit on the odd side. Hmmm. Maybe I just need some good ol’ hearty spaghetti or something…

I should probably go. I am getting to the CDC deadline and I have SO much coloring to do =P bleh. Hope everyone is doing well and getting better!

Love,

Happy St. Patty's Day!!!!
Mood:  spacey
Now Playing: Need More O.J.

Good morning!

I promise I am not getting into a “no-write-on-Monday’s” trend. Yesterday we were at Mr. 2yr old’s house (he is like 4 now). Flyboy apparently made plans to go over there sometime early last week and never told me until they called Saturday afternoon asking what we were bringing. !!! You know, it would be nice to know these things on or the day after payday, before I set money away for savings… men.

So yesterday I spent the day at a place I really didn’t want to go to (I have a few issues, that I wish not to get into) and we played D&D (dungeons and dragons, ((a role playing adventure type game))) with a house full of sick people. I wish they would have told us they were all sick to begin with. Mr. 2yr old’s parents were coughing and hacking, as well as Mr. 2yr old, who of course had to be Flyboy’s and my shadow the whole time. Then the people who came over were coughing, and sneezing, and I think one had a fever, she really didn’t look well at all. THEN they opened the back door to breeze out the house, since it was getting really warm with 9 people in there. Well this is pollen season, and it has been really dry out here and yesterday although it was a pretty day out, it was windy. Poor Flyboy, he is definitely coming down with something. =/ He told me that if he wasn’t feeling any better by tomorrow morning, he would go to sick call and see the Flight Dc. That may not sound like anything, but he fears the Flight Doc. Well, every flier fears the Flight Doc because the Flight Doc can make you DNIF (Duties Not Including Flying) with the click of his pen. When you’re DNIF you are not a very useful asset to the flying community and if you are DNIF for too long it gets harder and harder to get back to flying, even if the Doc gives you a “clear” to return to flying status. Anywho, Flyboy is willing to risk it, he feels that awful. I think he left with a slight fever this morning. I know, I know, I should have dragged him to sick call, but he has a training class today, which ironically is a bunch of lessons on ORM, Operational Risk Management. In a nut shell the course is about how “up-to-par” you are feeling on a fly day or really in general, so you know if you are able to handle the day or operation’s events. The better you score (like on a scale of 1-10) the more “okay” you are, the worse you score, well you probably shouldn’t “risk” it. *no pun intended* It is ironic because Flyboy is scoring really bad and yet he has to take this course because it keeps him current with, I have no idea what the next word I am needing is. It just keeps him current and the next class open isn’t for a few more months, you know? Don’t worry though, Flyboy said that after the course (which shouldn’t last too long) if he is still feeling the nasty, he’ll talk to leadership and see if he can come home. I did pack him some chicken noodle soup for lunch just in case. I also packed him some orange juice and apple juice (I have no idea how his throat or his tummy is feeling, so I gave him both that way he could choose. I gave him some fruit and some of my granola bar. (It really boosts his energy)(This time the granola bar has his nut mix, some Grape Nuts ((ew)) some peanuts and I added some smashed mini wheats. I think there might be some more stuff in there, but I can’t recall, it was another one of my experiments)

I am actually drinking some orange juice now, I can kind of feel something coming on, and I do not like it. =S

I better go for now, I need to do some dishes and figure out something for dinner. I have yet to make the Tin Plate Special, it looks really tasty though. =) Flyboy just threw the weekend plans off so I wasn’t able to get around to it. =/ But since he is at work, I can start on it now, I have to go to the store first, but yeah. Thank you! =) I hope you all get to feeling better! Take care!

Grrrr
Mood:  chatty
Now Playing: The Heater

Good morning!

Well today got off to a not so great start. First off we were running behind, well at least I was anyway, since I needed to get up early to start the car. (Sudden change to freezing temperatures makes starting the car more difficult) So I head out there in a rush and guess what? For some reason we left the car unlocked!?!? I am really good about locking the car doors; I mean how many times have I locked myself out of the car? Luckily it was below freezing outside so if anyone decided they wanted it, they would have a hard time trying to start it. Plus if they were going to load it up on a trailer or tow it or something it would be a red flag to the security that drives around the complex. (I made sure to introduce ourselves) Anywho…. so yeah. Then I take Flyboy to work and as soon as I get home he messages me saying that he got kicked off of today’s flight because there were too many people scheduled for it or something.  He is really bummed =/ not to mention I went on crew rest with him (otherwise he can’t sleep very well =P) for no reason. I was up until 200 because I couldn’t sleep. Speaking of sleep though, I plan on fixing my pattern this weekend. I really liked just passing out from exhaustion at 2030 every night and then waking up at 530/600, I really hope I can get that back!

I apologize for not following up on the yesterday’s entry; I just got really busy with cooking, packaging and freezing food. I still have a lot more to cook. I am making granola bars again (Flyboy really likes them!)

Oh!

***SOLDIER UPDATE*** I heard from soldier last night, well via short email. He is doing alright, though really tired though. They have been literally breaking concrete for the past few weeks so they can set up some “something or other”. He has officially signed his leave papers, so if Army leave is anything like Air Force leave, then he has to wait now for approval. I will keep you posted on that. Otherwise his trip to visit you all has been set in motion. I just hope ours will too =/ (well for the same time Soldier is coming out of course)

Flyboy just messaged me saying that he for some reason has to work late today. Generally on Friday’s they are released after the weekly Hall Call meeting, well he has to stay after the meeting. I don’t think he is in trouble, I figure he has to fix errors in the schedule again. (He is really good at that. Leadership and leadership from other flights in the squadron have made him the “go-to” guy when it comes to scheduling. Pretty cool!) They have a new guy learning how to schedule and he is having a hard time catching on. I don’t blame him though, some of that stuff just sounds confusing, all the protocols and what not. I guess with practice it comes pretty easy, but…

Anyway, I am getting really hungry and I would like to head to the commissary. I have a Crockpot experiment I would like to conduct, food wise. (I really don’t want stroganoff tonight, but I was going to tough it out, but since Flyboy isn’t flying, I am going to do something different) I am thinking a roast, so I can shred it, then add some onions, baked beans and then I am lost from there. Its final form will be wrapped in a tortilla with some cheese, but yeah. Though maybe I can do that for tomorrow instead… I would have more time to mess around with it. But I am hungry now, since I haven’t eaten breakfast yet. Take care everyone!!!

I'm A Mac N Cheese Cat!!!!
Mood:  chillin'
Now Playing: Must... Find... Food

Hello!

Not much going on here, just cold as all get out. I think it is in the low 30’s, burrrrr!

Yesterday was alright, nothing too exciting. The lady upstairs thought she threw her keys away when she took out her trash and so she came over asking for help. So I went dumpster diving for keys, luckily it wasn’t full. (There were only a few tied bags and such) Then we drew the conclusion that they were still in her house. We flagged down the security guy and he got a hold of management for us. (They live on the property) Management came over and headed to the office to look for the keys, meanwhile the lady is freeing so I lend her one of my jackets, and we wait. Verdict, they don’t have an extra key for her apartment, so maintenance is called so he can “break-in” to her apartment so she can get her keys. That of course will take 20 minutes or more for him to get here and so we all head into my apartment. Kind of an interesting night, but I am glad we could help. It was like 28 degrees outside with a nasty wind chill. Don’t worry; we have met her numerous times before. We met her during the presidential campaign; she needed help with her bumper sticker. (She wanted it on her window, but didn’t know if it would obstruct her view. She was for McCain and Palin, mainly for Palin. =)) Then we met again, well Flyboy helped her out (one of the nights I had fallen asleep early) her car window wouldn’t roll up, (it’s an older car) so he fixed that for her. The poor lady has just been having horrible luck. =S I am really glad that we were home though. It really was cold out there.

Tonight I am making lasagna, in the Crockpot. Its sooooo much easier that way, I guess I am getting pretty lazy these days. Though this time, I am going to make it chicken parmesan lasagna, rather than the traditional style with the hamburger. I am pretty “hamburgered” out, plus the chicken parmesan I make, I mix everything together and bake it in the oven and a Crockpot isn’t doing anything really different, so, why not? (I don’t use lasagna noodles for chicken parmesan, I use squiggly noodles, but I still mix it all together) I haven’t figured out a veggie, but I am thinking a salad or something, if the spinach and lettuce are still good….

Flyboy is doing well, I am doing alright (lost my sleeping pattern again) it is pretty much same old, same old. No news from Soldier, or about our Cali trip. Though we are one paycheck away from reaching the amount I estimated, so I am excited!!! We would come out right away, but I want to make sure we have a buffer in there, just incase and plus Flyboy has to stick around here so he can take his tests. I really have my fingers crossed; I hope they will let him leave during that training thing. That sounds very bad and self centered, but I think you know what I mean. I don’t know… But I should get back to those flash cards; he takes his next test for the CDC’s at the end of this month, like on the last Thursday or something like that. Oh, that reminds me, not like it’s anything out of the ordinary, but Flyboy is going to be part of the formation at the squadrons Change of Command ceremony. The awesome thing about it though, is since it is on Blues’ Monday; the formation will be dressed in flight suits! Normally the formation is in Blues and everyone else wears Uniform of the Day but because everyone is in Blues, Uniform of the Day, the formation needs to be in something different so they stand out, so they are going to have them wear flight suits. =D Flyboy is excited, Blues are so uncomfortable. Since the CMSAF decided that every Monday Blues are the Uniform of the Day, I think Flyboy has only had to wear them maybe 7 times. He seems to either be flying on Monday, doing Snack Bar Duty (they have to wear civilian clothes) or it’s a Pro-Day (a day off. I forget what the “pro” stands for) or sometimes they will have a volunteer event, where once again you are in civilians and are released for the day after the event is over. But yeah, somehow, he sneaks out of it. At least he knows how the system works. =D

Well I really better go, flash cards aren’t going to color themselves, and I still haven’t found a magic wand on eBay that will do chores for me. Take care everyone and have a great day!!!

Wow, Early Transitions?
Mood:  lazy
Now Playing: I Think I Am Hungry Again...

Good morning.

Sorry for not posting yesterday, I wasn’t feeling up to par and I had a new stack of cards I needed to color. Today I have to finish the last half of the questions. Fun times.

Not much is going on over here. It is currently 80 degrees and in about 4 hours, it will drop to around the low 30’s. (…cold front…) I still have a pile of dishes to do, and I really don’t want to do them. They piled up over the weekend because Macho had another one of his get-togethers and I made some more Apple Crisp. I have been working on my wing recipe and completely nailed it, so I brought a big dish of wings over there too. Hehe =D All I can say is, “I WIN!” Yeaaah, they LOVED my wings; to the point they were fighting over who gets to lick the remaining sauce out of the dish. (I made the sauce all from scratch, no recipe, just help from my poor taste buds) Our country boy buddy (I shall name him, Corn-Fed) didn’t leave the wings once after he discovered they were there. He was eating those things like they do in the cartoons! One second there is meat on the bone and not a second later dry bone. They had a plate just PILED in wing bones. Macho told me my wings were “bangin’” and yesterday at work he told Flyboy the same thing and tried to get me to pass the recipe over. HA! Fat chance!!! I have leverage now! Why would I give up such a wondrous power? Silly, silly, man. HA! Anywho, Flyboy was doing Snack Bar Duty, so they went out of their way to drop by and “remind” Flyboy how awesome my wings are and how much they like my cooking. Hehe, yay me. =D I had told Flyboy that I would like to bring in some wings to the flight and when they passed it on they got super excited, like more excited than they were about the Apple Crisp the first time. Don’t get me wrong, they LOVE the Crisp, I mean at the get-together they saw and heard I brought wings and there seemed to be a slight disappointment until I reassured the new guy (he is new to the flight and had Apple Crisp for the first time last Friday, or the one before that. Word of mouth gets around that I make this for Macho’s parties and well, he was looking forward to it.) that there was Apple Crisp, and within like 4 second’s of me finishing the sentence there was an ambush to the fridge to make sure I wasn’t pulling their legs. Then they say Corn-Fed eating wings… need I say more? Radar REALLY liked them and was astonished that I never fried them, and that they were actually pretty healthy, well as much as wings are, because they were grilled first. (He, let’s just say is a wing FREAK and is probably the only one that goes to Hooter’s JUST for the wings, no joke.) Radar is really watching his calorie intake and was worried about the wings; he also tried to con the recipe out of me. I think this one, recipe, is going to be one of the Family Recipe’s that get passed down from generation to generation once we have a family. =) But, I will let you guy’s have it if you like. Family is family. =) I have named the wings too, well the recipe that is. “Drum Roll Please…” The name… of my… AWESOME… wings… are… the Delta Flight Dominators! =) Flyboy picked that one out and really, the taste fits the name. They aren’t super spicy, which wasn’t my original intention, but they have enough kick and the right amount of kick that makes you want more. hehe. =) I mean, I can handle them, which means they aren’t that spicy. (I don’t do spicy, in the least bit)

I think that is it for news, if you call that news. I think I will shut the AC off and just open the doors if it gets too hot in here. I should probably go and get started on either the dishes or the flashcards… I need to find a coin to flip. =/ I hope you all get better! Flu bug’s aren’t fun =/ (no matter what the media says!) (I don’t know…) But yeah, take care! Get better!

Love ya’ll

6 March 2009

It's Finally FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: COOKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning!

Wow, it is almost afternoon already! I didn’t think it had been THAT long!!!

As you all know, Flyboy had his test today. He passed. We met Radar this morning and showed him how to get to the testing building, since he had to take the first test. He passed too! He came out and thanked me for doing the flashcards. He said they REALLY helped. He was excited because every question that was on the test flashed the image that I had drawn. Hehe. I win! So that was pretty cool. I really hoped they would help. I mean this stuff is SOOOO monotonous.

It is a really nice day out. No wind! Kind of eerie really, but oh well. Yesterday was horribly blustery and really hot too. This morning it is a warm like cool, if that makes any sense.

I am going to work on some flash cards later this afternoon, but I think I am going to tidy up the house. I am just in one of those moods. (They rarely come around these days!)

Flyboy suggested that I space out the sentences on my blog, since they are soo hard to read at times. I think it has turned out pretty legible now. =) I wanted to walk to Subway for dinner tonight, but I think I will wait until tomorrow. My calves are killing me! Sad really, because when I run during P.T. my calves don’t bother me in the slightest. You know, now that I think about it, it could be because technically we were hiking all the way to Subway, because this lousy state has no sidewalks!!!!!!!!!!! It is a little ironic that we are ranked pretty high up on the Fattest State chart, and our Governor is pushing us to get fit, and yet, there are no sidewalks. Really, I would walk more often, if there were sidewalks, so would Flyboy. I know he LOVES walking. Sort of frustrating though.

Anywho, I should go before this fire under my bum decides to burn out. Haha. Take care!!!
