Happy St. Patty's Day!!!!
Mood:  spacey
Now Playing: Need More O.J.

Good morning!

I promise I am not getting into a “no-write-on-Monday’s” trend. Yesterday we were at Mr. 2yr old’s house (he is like 4 now). Flyboy apparently made plans to go over there sometime early last week and never told me until they called Saturday afternoon asking what we were bringing. !!! You know, it would be nice to know these things on or the day after payday, before I set money away for savings… men.

So yesterday I spent the day at a place I really didn’t want to go to (I have a few issues, that I wish not to get into) and we played D&D (dungeons and dragons, ((a role playing adventure type game))) with a house full of sick people. I wish they would have told us they were all sick to begin with. Mr. 2yr old’s parents were coughing and hacking, as well as Mr. 2yr old, who of course had to be Flyboy’s and my shadow the whole time. Then the people who came over were coughing, and sneezing, and I think one had a fever, she really didn’t look well at all. THEN they opened the back door to breeze out the house, since it was getting really warm with 9 people in there. Well this is pollen season, and it has been really dry out here and yesterday although it was a pretty day out, it was windy. Poor Flyboy, he is definitely coming down with something. =/ He told me that if he wasn’t feeling any better by tomorrow morning, he would go to sick call and see the Flight Dc. That may not sound like anything, but he fears the Flight Doc. Well, every flier fears the Flight Doc because the Flight Doc can make you DNIF (Duties Not Including Flying) with the click of his pen. When you’re DNIF you are not a very useful asset to the flying community and if you are DNIF for too long it gets harder and harder to get back to flying, even if the Doc gives you a “clear” to return to flying status. Anywho, Flyboy is willing to risk it, he feels that awful. I think he left with a slight fever this morning. I know, I know, I should have dragged him to sick call, but he has a training class today, which ironically is a bunch of lessons on ORM, Operational Risk Management. In a nut shell the course is about how “up-to-par” you are feeling on a fly day or really in general, so you know if you are able to handle the day or operation’s events. The better you score (like on a scale of 1-10) the more “okay” you are, the worse you score, well you probably shouldn’t “risk” it. *no pun intended* It is ironic because Flyboy is scoring really bad and yet he has to take this course because it keeps him current with, I have no idea what the next word I am needing is. It just keeps him current and the next class open isn’t for a few more months, you know? Don’t worry though, Flyboy said that after the course (which shouldn’t last too long) if he is still feeling the nasty, he’ll talk to leadership and see if he can come home. I did pack him some chicken noodle soup for lunch just in case. I also packed him some orange juice and apple juice (I have no idea how his throat or his tummy is feeling, so I gave him both that way he could choose. I gave him some fruit and some of my granola bar. (It really boosts his energy)(This time the granola bar has his nut mix, some Grape Nuts ((ew)) some peanuts and I added some smashed mini wheats. I think there might be some more stuff in there, but I can’t recall, it was another one of my experiments)

I am actually drinking some orange juice now, I can kind of feel something coming on, and I do not like it. =S

I better go for now, I need to do some dishes and figure out something for dinner. I have yet to make the Tin Plate Special, it looks really tasty though. =) Flyboy just threw the weekend plans off so I wasn’t able to get around to it. =/ But since he is at work, I can start on it now, I have to go to the store first, but yeah. Thank you! =) I hope you all get to feeling better! Take care!

Grrrr
Mood:  chatty
Now Playing: The Heater

Good morning!

Well today got off to a not so great start. First off we were running behind, well at least I was anyway, since I needed to get up early to start the car. (Sudden change to freezing temperatures makes starting the car more difficult) So I head out there in a rush and guess what? For some reason we left the car unlocked!?!? I am really good about locking the car doors; I mean how many times have I locked myself out of the car? Luckily it was below freezing outside so if anyone decided they wanted it, they would have a hard time trying to start it. Plus if they were going to load it up on a trailer or tow it or something it would be a red flag to the security that drives around the complex. (I made sure to introduce ourselves) Anywho…. so yeah. Then I take Flyboy to work and as soon as I get home he messages me saying that he got kicked off of today’s flight because there were too many people scheduled for it or something.  He is really bummed =/ not to mention I went on crew rest with him (otherwise he can’t sleep very well =P) for no reason. I was up until 200 because I couldn’t sleep. Speaking of sleep though, I plan on fixing my pattern this weekend. I really liked just passing out from exhaustion at 2030 every night and then waking up at 530/600, I really hope I can get that back!

I apologize for not following up on the yesterday’s entry; I just got really busy with cooking, packaging and freezing food. I still have a lot more to cook. I am making granola bars again (Flyboy really likes them!)

Oh!

***SOLDIER UPDATE*** I heard from soldier last night, well via short email. He is doing alright, though really tired though. They have been literally breaking concrete for the past few weeks so they can set up some “something or other”. He has officially signed his leave papers, so if Army leave is anything like Air Force leave, then he has to wait now for approval. I will keep you posted on that. Otherwise his trip to visit you all has been set in motion. I just hope ours will too =/ (well for the same time Soldier is coming out of course)

Flyboy just messaged me saying that he for some reason has to work late today. Generally on Friday’s they are released after the weekly Hall Call meeting, well he has to stay after the meeting. I don’t think he is in trouble, I figure he has to fix errors in the schedule again. (He is really good at that. Leadership and leadership from other flights in the squadron have made him the “go-to” guy when it comes to scheduling. Pretty cool!) They have a new guy learning how to schedule and he is having a hard time catching on. I don’t blame him though, some of that stuff just sounds confusing, all the protocols and what not. I guess with practice it comes pretty easy, but…

Anyway, I am getting really hungry and I would like to head to the commissary. I have a Crockpot experiment I would like to conduct, food wise. (I really don’t want stroganoff tonight, but I was going to tough it out, but since Flyboy isn’t flying, I am going to do something different) I am thinking a roast, so I can shred it, then add some onions, baked beans and then I am lost from there. Its final form will be wrapped in a tortilla with some cheese, but yeah. Though maybe I can do that for tomorrow instead… I would have more time to mess around with it. But I am hungry now, since I haven’t eaten breakfast yet. Take care everyone!!!

I'm A Mac N Cheese Cat!!!!
Mood:  chillin'
Now Playing: Must... Find... Food

Hello!

Not much going on here, just cold as all get out. I think it is in the low 30’s, burrrrr!

Yesterday was alright, nothing too exciting. The lady upstairs thought she threw her keys away when she took out her trash and so she came over asking for help. So I went dumpster diving for keys, luckily it wasn’t full. (There were only a few tied bags and such) Then we drew the conclusion that they were still in her house. We flagged down the security guy and he got a hold of management for us. (They live on the property) Management came over and headed to the office to look for the keys, meanwhile the lady is freeing so I lend her one of my jackets, and we wait. Verdict, they don’t have an extra key for her apartment, so maintenance is called so he can “break-in” to her apartment so she can get her keys. That of course will take 20 minutes or more for him to get here and so we all head into my apartment. Kind of an interesting night, but I am glad we could help. It was like 28 degrees outside with a nasty wind chill. Don’t worry; we have met her numerous times before. We met her during the presidential campaign; she needed help with her bumper sticker. (She wanted it on her window, but didn’t know if it would obstruct her view. She was for McCain and Palin, mainly for Palin. =)) Then we met again, well Flyboy helped her out (one of the nights I had fallen asleep early) her car window wouldn’t roll up, (it’s an older car) so he fixed that for her. The poor lady has just been having horrible luck. =S I am really glad that we were home though. It really was cold out there.

Tonight I am making lasagna, in the Crockpot. Its sooooo much easier that way, I guess I am getting pretty lazy these days. Though this time, I am going to make it chicken parmesan lasagna, rather than the traditional style with the hamburger. I am pretty “hamburgered” out, plus the chicken parmesan I make, I mix everything together and bake it in the oven and a Crockpot isn’t doing anything really different, so, why not? (I don’t use lasagna noodles for chicken parmesan, I use squiggly noodles, but I still mix it all together) I haven’t figured out a veggie, but I am thinking a salad or something, if the spinach and lettuce are still good….

Flyboy is doing well, I am doing alright (lost my sleeping pattern again) it is pretty much same old, same old. No news from Soldier, or about our Cali trip. Though we are one paycheck away from reaching the amount I estimated, so I am excited!!! We would come out right away, but I want to make sure we have a buffer in there, just incase and plus Flyboy has to stick around here so he can take his tests. I really have my fingers crossed; I hope they will let him leave during that training thing. That sounds very bad and self centered, but I think you know what I mean. I don’t know… But I should get back to those flash cards; he takes his next test for the CDC’s at the end of this month, like on the last Thursday or something like that. Oh, that reminds me, not like it’s anything out of the ordinary, but Flyboy is going to be part of the formation at the squadrons Change of Command ceremony. The awesome thing about it though, is since it is on Blues’ Monday; the formation will be dressed in flight suits! Normally the formation is in Blues and everyone else wears Uniform of the Day but because everyone is in Blues, Uniform of the Day, the formation needs to be in something different so they stand out, so they are going to have them wear flight suits. =D Flyboy is excited, Blues are so uncomfortable. Since the CMSAF decided that every Monday Blues are the Uniform of the Day, I think Flyboy has only had to wear them maybe 7 times. He seems to either be flying on Monday, doing Snack Bar Duty (they have to wear civilian clothes) or it’s a Pro-Day (a day off. I forget what the “pro” stands for) or sometimes they will have a volunteer event, where once again you are in civilians and are released for the day after the event is over. But yeah, somehow, he sneaks out of it. At least he knows how the system works. =D

Well I really better go, flash cards aren’t going to color themselves, and I still haven’t found a magic wand on eBay that will do chores for me. Take care everyone and have a great day!!!

10 March 2009

Wow, Early Transitions?
Mood:  lazy
Now Playing: I Think I Am Hungry Again...

Good morning.

Sorry for not posting yesterday, I wasn’t feeling up to par and I had a new stack of cards I needed to color. Today I have to finish the last half of the questions. Fun times.

Not much is going on over here. It is currently 80 degrees and in about 4 hours, it will drop to around the low 30’s. (…cold front…) I still have a pile of dishes to do, and I really don’t want to do them. They piled up over the weekend because Macho had another one of his get-togethers and I made some more Apple Crisp. I have been working on my wing recipe and completely nailed it, so I brought a big dish of wings over there too. Hehe =D All I can say is, “I WIN!” Yeaaah, they LOVED my wings; to the point they were fighting over who gets to lick the remaining sauce out of the dish. (I made the sauce all from scratch, no recipe, just help from my poor taste buds) Our country boy buddy (I shall name him, Corn-Fed) didn’t leave the wings once after he discovered they were there. He was eating those things like they do in the cartoons! One second there is meat on the bone and not a second later dry bone. They had a plate just PILED in wing bones. Macho told me my wings were “bangin’” and yesterday at work he told Flyboy the same thing and tried to get me to pass the recipe over. HA! Fat chance!!! I have leverage now! Why would I give up such a wondrous power? Silly, silly, man. HA! Anywho, Flyboy was doing Snack Bar Duty, so they went out of their way to drop by and “remind” Flyboy how awesome my wings are and how much they like my cooking. Hehe, yay me. =D I had told Flyboy that I would like to bring in some wings to the flight and when they passed it on they got super excited, like more excited than they were about the Apple Crisp the first time. Don’t get me wrong, they LOVE the Crisp, I mean at the get-together they saw and heard I brought wings and there seemed to be a slight disappointment until I reassured the new guy (he is new to the flight and had Apple Crisp for the first time last Friday, or the one before that. Word of mouth gets around that I make this for Macho’s parties and well, he was looking forward to it.) that there was Apple Crisp, and within like 4 second’s of me finishing the sentence there was an ambush to the fridge to make sure I wasn’t pulling their legs. Then they say Corn-Fed eating wings… need I say more? Radar REALLY liked them and was astonished that I never fried them, and that they were actually pretty healthy, well as much as wings are, because they were grilled first. (He, let’s just say is a wing FREAK and is probably the only one that goes to Hooter’s JUST for the wings, no joke.) Radar is really watching his calorie intake and was worried about the wings; he also tried to con the recipe out of me. I think this one, recipe, is going to be one of the Family Recipe’s that get passed down from generation to generation once we have a family. =) But, I will let you guy’s have it if you like. Family is family. =) I have named the wings too, well the recipe that is. “Drum Roll Please…” The name… of my… AWESOME… wings… are… the Delta Flight Dominators! =) Flyboy picked that one out and really, the taste fits the name. They aren’t super spicy, which wasn’t my original intention, but they have enough kick and the right amount of kick that makes you want more. hehe. =) I mean, I can handle them, which means they aren’t that spicy. (I don’t do spicy, in the least bit)

I think that is it for news, if you call that news. I think I will shut the AC off and just open the doors if it gets too hot in here. I should probably go and get started on either the dishes or the flashcards… I need to find a coin to flip. =/ I hope you all get better! Flu bug’s aren’t fun =/ (no matter what the media says!) (I don’t know…) But yeah, take care! Get better!

Love ya’ll

It's Finally FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: COOKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning!

Wow, it is almost afternoon already! I didn’t think it had been THAT long!!!

As you all know, Flyboy had his test today. He passed. We met Radar this morning and showed him how to get to the testing building, since he had to take the first test. He passed too! He came out and thanked me for doing the flashcards. He said they REALLY helped. He was excited because every question that was on the test flashed the image that I had drawn. Hehe. I win! So that was pretty cool. I really hoped they would help. I mean this stuff is SOOOO monotonous.

It is a really nice day out. No wind! Kind of eerie really, but oh well. Yesterday was horribly blustery and really hot too. This morning it is a warm like cool, if that makes any sense.

I am going to work on some flash cards later this afternoon, but I think I am going to tidy up the house. I am just in one of those moods. (They rarely come around these days!)

Flyboy suggested that I space out the sentences on my blog, since they are soo hard to read at times. I think it has turned out pretty legible now. =) I wanted to walk to Subway for dinner tonight, but I think I will wait until tomorrow. My calves are killing me! Sad really, because when I run during P.T. my calves don’t bother me in the slightest. You know, now that I think about it, it could be because technically we were hiking all the way to Subway, because this lousy state has no sidewalks!!!!!!!!!!! It is a little ironic that we are ranked pretty high up on the Fattest State chart, and our Governor is pushing us to get fit, and yet, there are no sidewalks. Really, I would walk more often, if there were sidewalks, so would Flyboy. I know he LOVES walking. Sort of frustrating though.

Anywho, I should go before this fire under my bum decides to burn out. Haha. Take care!!!

Rice Krispies In My Tummy...
Mood:  crushed out
Now Playing: Flyboy Yack, Yack, Yacking In My Ear...

Hello all!

This one will be a short entry; we have lots of studying to do before afternoon P.T. with the squadron.

Yesterday after I picked up Flyboy from the squadron gym I decided we would walk to Subway (from our house) for dinner. Hey, hey, $5 foot-longs!!! Split those in half and we got ourselves a cheap and healthy meal. Flyboy was up for an adventure, as always, so we headed off. One way is about a mile and three quarters, so not to bad of a walk. However, Flyboy decided we should take a short cut that ended up being a LONGER route back home. We walked a total of about 4.25 miles. The wind of course didn’t like the fact that we were walking and decided to attempt to blow us to Kansas. Luckily, I am too heavy for the wind, haha, fat 1 wind 0. (Flyboy says, “Don’t tempt fate, because tornadoes always win”) Anywho, the adventure was a success; I found a nickel, two pennies and a smashed pair of Captain Bars. Which means, somewhere, out there, is a Captain, short on change with no proof of his rank. What a sad, sad day.

Anywho, I need to go. Flyboy is rambling about a floating bridge that he forgot about. *whistles* “CRAZY”

I should go though, its time to get crackin’ or whatever. Take care!!

La La La
Mood:  cool
Now Playing: ACU's Is Highlighted, So, Click It! =)

Good Morning!

I am so, so, so very tired =’( Lately my bedtime has been around 2030. I take my pills at 2000 and then fall asleep like right after. However for the past couple days; I have had to stay up because someone can’t make up his mind on what he wants for dinner. (I would make a decision, but sometimes I’m not even the slightest bit hungry and all I want to do is go to sleep.) Anywho, point being, I am tired.

As luck would have it Flyboy was able to take the course. It was crazy though, I had to run around like crazy getting all the stuff he needed because he would text me at the last minute saying he needed something. After the classroom training, Flyboy took me up to the flight so I could make his lunch while he changed into his other uniform. (He looks silly with BCG’s on ((the big basic training glasses))) So I cooked his lunch, split pea soup I had made, and oh my goodness, it tastes AWESOME reheated!!!! Needless to say I ate about a ¼ of it before he came back. Don’t worry, I packed him an MRE as well as some snacks, he was covered. Apparently the granola bars I had made really hit the spot, AND they were packed with lots of energy. They are comprised of the nut mix I made him, granola cereal and some honey goo stuff that I made from scratch (can’t give it all away right? Then I added some chocolate chips, and well added too many so now the bars are chocolaty too. I was merely going for the “chip” effect, not “chocolate” if you know what I mean. Whatever the case, they were very useful on the field! Yay me!!!

I dropped Flyboy off at the field, around 1230 (time change at last minute… again) and I picked up camo Flyboy at 2100. It was PITCH black out there and all the guys decided to walk in front of my car like deer. I couldn’t see them for the life of me. I would have turned my high beams on but I figured that would be a little mean, and I didn’t know if any of them still have their night vision goggles on. (Like putting them away...) Yeah, making a large group of fliers DNIF (Duties Not Including Flying) because I blinded them with my high beams, would not be a good bullet, or look good on Flyboy for that matter. But I found Flyboy and we headed home to a crock pot steaming with Beef Stroganoff. It was requested. Flyboy said he had a blast. Of course it was exhausting and he was covered in stickers that pop bicycle tires, but none-the-less, he had fun. His group got to be the “bad” guys and they snuck up on a bunch of guys who will probably get in trouble, because they were supposed to be keeping guard. Hehe. But this is training, and mistakes are expected and are learned from so when real life pops up, you are prepared. Though then again, Flyboy’s little group is really good at ninja stuff, so, I don’t know. (So the instructors said).

I can’t believe the week has gone by so fast! Tomorrow is Thursday which means Flyboy has it off as his Study Day. His test is Friday. We are going to be cramming like mad! He was going to study all day yesterday, but the survival thing came up and well, he needed it to stay flyable (I think that is a word, it sure doesn’t look like one). It is just a mess. I will write in the morning, but I think we will head off to somewhere relaxing so he can cram. Maybe the lake or something, he likes it there. (That way he isn’t cooped up in the house and complaining all the time).

He also needs to P.T. with the squadron today since Monday was recall and yesterday he was gone all day. (It’s a new mandatory thing; the guys have to P.T. with the squadron at least once a week, whether it be in the morning or in the afternoon.) Well Flyboy was gone so he couldn’t put P.T. in his schedule for the morning, so I won’t see him again until waaaaay after 1630. Fun times. More time to do flash cards I guess. I am on question 27 or so of 97. So far there isn’t much for me to draw. They aren’t complicated answers or questions, so I think just the word will be enough. Although, I am really getting tired of the answer, DIGITAL. Ahhhhhh it was the answer for three questions in a row! The first question I made the background look like ACU’s (I haven’t colored yet, this is just the drawing stage). Then the next question was the same answer and since the one prior took like 10 minutes to draw, I said skip it and I made the words, DIGITAL, look like ACU’s. The last one (I don’t really read the answers until I get to the question. I just highlight the answer form the answer sheet and never look twice, unless it wants me to highlight a blank answer… Flyboy is looking into that) I just gave up and made the word look bubbly like normal. Haha. That was really frustrating, and all the questions were different. Grrr.

Ow. I think I need to eat now. My tummy is hurting me. =/ ow. Well I better serve my “master” Haha. Take care everyone!!!

My Feetz Are Freezing!!!!
Mood:  not sure
Now Playing: 100.5 the KATT *rawr*

Morning!

Okay, it is a little less stressful this morning. Yesterday there was a recall, so we were up at 500. (Fun times… I thought Flyboy was talking to his alarm on his phone until he started saying “Yes sir”. Yeah, it was that kind of tired yesterday.) I dropped him off and came back home to face 51 flash cards that needed to be colored. I know it doesn’t sound like much, but if you combine, the hot desk lamp, smell of old crayons, markers and a 6 inch stack of already colored flashcards, it is a little over whelming, not to mention the exhaustion you have from coloring all day the day before. So I cracked down and set a goal, and I had them finished by 1400. (I had been coloring from 600 and only had and hour and a half break. They are very detailed cards, ya know.) Around 1600 Flyboy wanted me to pick him up, I head down there and he tells me that it will be 1630 instead because he is the highest ranking guy in the flight and has to keep and eye on things, plush he was the only scheduler that day and well, he was needed, just in case anyone had questions. Cool, but then again, it got me started on the next set of questions. I highlighted the answers and I have done 7 cards so far. The first volume of this next set, has 96 questions and guess what… 75% of the answers are NUMBERS!!!!!! For example, 10001110001. Yeeeeaaaaah. What in the world am I to draw for that to make it easily memorized, when the next ten questions after it are the same type of answer? Anyway, his test on the set I just finished is this Friday, and he can’t schedule the next test until after he takes this one. So, pretty much, all of this month is waiting on him passing this CDC test on Friday. I mean, he has to fly like 3 times this month (it is what he is scheduled for) and he has to study, schedule and take the last CDC test, after all that is scheduled and dates are known, I need to schedule my doctor’s appointment (I want him with me and he wants to be there too) and on top of that he is due for more “on-the-field” training all due by the end of the month, not to mention he has to get his CDC completion paperwork sent off so he can take the SSgt test. Very busy month, you could say.

Friday went alright, with the apple crisp. They had a meeting while I was there and got a pretty nasty beating, so morale was pretty down. I think the Apple Crisp helped some. I did however get one of those “slow-claps” from BE RIGHT BACK! FLYBOY HAS CHANGE OF PLANS, NEED TO PACK NEW STUFF!

Ok I am kind of back… alright back to the story; I got those “slow-claps” from our country boy buddy. He’s a real sweetheart. Everyone really liked it and like I said I think it boosted some morale, just a little bit.

Yeah, Flyboy just messaged me with change of plans. (I hate change of plans) Anywho, he was suppose to be studying today but he got thrown on an “on-the field” training event, that he needs by the end of this month, at the last minute. It is 815 now and the classroom part starts at 900, then he tells me he needs his BDU’s and a survival kit. (He is in his flight suit today, as always. Thank goodness I think ahead and got his new rank put on his BDU’s) So, I kind of started to panic because I know where everything for his survival kit is, except for one item. I know we have it, and it was used recently, but I have no idea where it is, which means, “To Clothing Sales!” she says half heartedly. Luckily he texted me again a little while after saying that he gets a lunch break and after that he needs all that stuff. So I will be heading down to base around 1100. (Lunch starts at noon-ish, but I have other things besides Clothing Sales that I need to attend to.) Flyboy was saying that he had asked about it and there just happened to be an opening today, which is great because there aren’t any for the next 2 months!!! Grrrreeeeaaaat! I only say that because one, he does need this by the end of the month and two he just messaged me again saying that now he ay not get to go because the class size may be too big. (Do you see the roller coaster I live on? So if I seem edgy or stressed, or not very nice at times, it is because this roller coaster hasn’t stopped to let me have a bathroom break yet! Haha) so that is what is going on now…

Since Thursday Flyboy has been a Dispatcher for A2D2. I think I had mentioned something about it last week, saving lives, bullets, etc. Well He didn’t do a very good job explaining it to me via text… he never does. Anywho, first off A2D2 stands for Airman Against Drunk Driving (2 A’s and 2 D’s therefore A2D2). A2D2 is a pretty cool program, airmen who have had one too many can call the number and a ride will be arranged for them and take them to their destination. (No bar hopping.) It is all volunteer based and they are in need of drivers and dispatchers. Well Flyboy volunteered to be a dispatcher, and so from 2100 to 500 the phone we were issued was turned on and when it rang Flyboy would write down information and call up the driver that was on standby and forward the info. Now once Friday came the phone had to be on until Monday at 500. So sleep was pretty hard, they don’t all call at once. We got a call at 600 Sunday morning! Who in the world is toasted at 600? I can’t judge, I am glad that they called, but still. We were supposed to be done with it on Monday and it was to go to the next volunteer, but the guy in charge was running around like crazy yesterday and told flyboy to go ahead and hold on to it until he got back from leave… so much for sleep this week. So far, knock on wood, we haven’t had a call this week yet, but I am getting a hunch. Generally during the week if the guys decide to throw back a few cold ones, they do it in their dorm rooms but when the weekend comes the go to their buddy’s places off post.

(Oh man I am so tired) I haven’t gotten a text from Flyboy regarding if he can attend this Survival Training course. PHONE. Brb. (be right back)

Alright, I have returned once more. It was Mississippi Mom; I had some Soldier stuff to discuss with her.

Speaking of Soldier, that reminds me of the Cali trip. There is a 50/50 chance that we can come out for the dates we have scheduled in June. Apparently the time we have scheduled is a No-Leave time for Flyboy’s Squadron. It has to do with a big training event, and the chances of him getting out of it are soooo slim. He talk to the Captain (he is the flight’s new Captain, I actually like this guy. He has a LOT of good ideas for the flight and he is great with morale, like Sgt Awesome.) And the Captain said that if Flyboy keeps up his hard work, and if Flyboy can’t manage to get the leave permitted, he would fight for him. (He keeps his word) Flyboy is going to push it up through the chain of command, even if he has to take it to the tip top. He has it in his schedule, has had it in there for a while, but we didn’t know about this training event until like last week. I won’t know for sure if June is a positive until a week or two prior. If it turns out that it isn’t, and we have to stay here, then we will reschedule for July. I would like to just move the date to exactly after the Training Event, but right after is a long TDY that Flyboy has been put on… so yeah… see, roller coaster!!!!! (Let… me… off…)

Well, it is 901, so, I am going to message Flyboy and if I get a response then he isn’t doing the Survival training today, if not, then I need to shower and get ready to head to the base. Crazy, crazy, crazy. Well I just texted him, now for the waiting game… blah.

So, as I wait, how are you all doing? I got MomaMouse’s email about her new art class, that is really AWESOME! It sounds really fun. =) I have put a link to her blog so the boys can check it out, though they pretty much know what is going on, because, they live there. Haha. Sleeveman, just got done with his knee surgery, so far so good?

The Josh… how have you been? Long time no IM…  (IM means Instant message, for those that didn’t know=)) Mom said you liked the kimono, =D hehe yeah, kinda screamed you. I wish it would have showed up with everyone else’s stuff. USPS, I tell ya… So you are going to dress up as Hawkeye? (If you have already, how did it go?) That would be really cool; Flyboy thinks you can pull it off really well! (I do too) M*A*S*H is AWESOME!!!!

Oh! PowerPresto, Flyboy wants to know if you have anymore ideas for another Dungeons and Dragons adventure or if you want to continue the one we were doing when Flyboy came out for Christmas. I ma glad you really liked the sheets! I saw them and was like, “PowerPresto would LOVE these.” Hehe. I am going to get the Box Tops that we have for you, organized and send them to you. After I find out what is going on with Flyboy, I will start on that. =)

Well, so far, no text, and it has been 20 minutes. Flyboy is pretty good about responding in a timely manner, so I guess that means that he is doing the Survival thing.

Oh! Saturday, we got to go to a free premier of Watchmen! It was held at the Base Theater. It was AWESOME!!! I think it should have been rated NC17, instead of R, there was A LOT of “things” that are not for young eyes. I was pretty shocked that some of the people brought their kids that were under 10! I mean, I read some of the comic (thanks to Sleeveman) and this isn’t a kid movie. These aren’t your normal superheroes. You would also think with a rating of R, you wouldn’t bring your young one. Just my opinion. Besides gore, there were some “scenes” very visual ones. Anywho overall, it was a great movie, and the director did an awesome job! I can’t wait to see the Dark Night. I haven’t seen it yet, but I am ready now. So I think we may pick that up this weekend. =) I am excited.

Well, I better get going. I need to get things done, and get Flyboy his stuff. Hope everyone is doing well! Take care!

(Wait, I just did Spell Check, over this entry, and Word tried to change NC17 to UNCLE. How in the world do you get uncle out of NC17? Okay, whatever, I just thought I would share. Take care!)

2 March 2009

good morning!
Mood:  crushed out
Now Playing: So.. Tired.. Of... Flash Cards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry this one will be so short.. and really big? (I'm not writing in Word and then transfering it, I am actually writing in the blog itself. So when it comes to Font sizes, it is frustrating)

Anywho, I have been up since 500 and been coloring flashcards since 600! AHHH! I have 12 left out of the 50 I started with this morning, so I have decided it is time for a break. Tomorrow will be less stressful, cross my fingers... So I will update you all then, for now, it is Tetris and lunch time!! Have a great afternoon!
